Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte—FIVE faculty members and 53 tourism students of the Pines City Colleges expressed their satisfaction of the area after spending three days at the Villa del Mar Ivory Resort and Hotel during an orientation conducted by the school to let the students compare different tourist spots in the country. A student leader of the said school, identified as Beverly Domoconat, said the massive landscape improvement, the attendants’ services and overall hospitality of the hotel management further makes the area attractive to tourists. One of the adviser said, “We want to usher our students how a destination can lure the attention of tourists and impress them about the features for educational purposes hopefully for them to pass on the scene to other people.” As a gesture of reciprocity, the students performed a series of choral rendition, a comedy-drama, skit-singing and dancing as a parting show at the resort’s open theater. Rogie Benemerito, owner of the resort, said, “If I remember right, this is your third time to anchor in our place. Whether it be for your tourism subject or educational purposes, this destination is wide open for your other trips to come. The activity of having an outdoor session like your being here is not foreign to our tourism and educational system, I only hope that our facilities provided meaningful opportunities for collective celebration, education, action and re-dedication. Thank you for your patronage.” Vic G. Labaro
